Taxes and Fees This page was designed to familiarize yourself with the taxes and fees that may apply to your fare. LTU has no control over the charges or tax amounts, and is required by the government of the countries and airports it serves to collect these amounts. Rates are subject to change.
US Taxes and Fees The US International Departure Tax $12.80 - shown on your ticket as 'US'. Applies for travel commencing in the USA to an international point, including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands and US territories. The US International Arrival Tax $12.80 - also shown on your ticket as 'US'. Applies to arrivals into the USA from an international point, including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rica, the US Virgin Islands and US territories. Customs User Fee $5.00 shown on your ticket as 'YC'. This collectible on travel from any international destination and from the US territories and possessions into the USA and Puerto Rico. US Immigration and Naturalization User Fee $6.00 shown on your ticket as 'XY'. This is collectible on travel from any international destination and from the US territories and possessions into the USA and Puerto Rico. The following passengers are exempt from the Customs and INS User fees: Persons transiting the USA and not processed by customs (i.e. all passengers using an in-transit facility with the intention of continuing to a destination outside the USA). US Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) User Fee: $3.00 shown on your ticket as 'XA'. This tax is collected from all passengers arriving in the USA and Puerto Rico from another country. US Flight Segment Tax (ZP) $2.75 per head per domestic segment. US Passenger Facility Charges (PFC) (Usually) $3.00 per departure and shown on your ticket as 'XF'. These charges are levied by a number of airports in the USA to fund airport development projects and the rates may vary per airport.
German Taxes and Fees Passenger Service Charge Tax code (RA / RD) This Passenger Service Charge applies only for travel portions not on LT segments. An arrivals tax, officially called the Passenger Service Charge, is shown on the ticket as 'RA'. It is levied on international flights as they arrive Germany. The charge varies per airport: 'RD' is the Passenger Service Charge for domestic flights. There are different rates for each airport, and these rates differ on whether it is a domestic flight in conjunction with an international flight, or if it a wholly domestic flight. These amounts are charged in US dollars when the ticket is sold in the USA and may vary depending on the foreign exchange rate. The following passengers are exempt from the German departure and arrival taxes: -Infants paying 10% or less of a fare. -Passengers in direct transit (same flight number / one coupon)
Airport Security Charge Tax code (DE) Shown on your ticket as 'DE'. A departure tax,the official name is Airport Security Charge, levied on international flights departing German airports. A security charge is collocted for each departure on a scheduled or non-scheduled flight from a German airport. The following list are the applicable charges. Exemptions: passengers in direct transit, (same flight number / one coupon, German transit point not shown on ticket). Passengers transferring German airports are exempt as well. Please note the following abbreviations: DE = Domestic departure in conjuction with International travel/ International departure. DE-INL = Domestic departure for tickets with travel wholly within germany.

Belgian Taxes and Fees Embarkation Tax Tax code on ticket: * BE * This tax is charged on all tickets and PTA's. Issued in Belgium or abroad for all departures from the following airports

Exemptions: - Infants under 2 years of age. - Transit passengers travelling with one ticket or conjunction tickets leaving on the same day (date).
