LTU FAMILY / HAPPY KIDS: Infant kits are available on board, which include diapers, a bib and semi-solid food. Also available is fresh milk, diaper-changing facilities and baby toys. Your flight attendant will be happy to fill up bottles with juice or mineral water, and baby food can be heated upon request.

Onboard Entertainment

LTU's inflight entertainment program features movies and video and radio programs. The latest blockbusters are shown onboard, as well as comedy shorts, holiday-tips and other forms of entertainment for adults and children alike. Headphones are available for purchase for DM5,- or US$3.

The radio program features selections for all tastes. "Wave Music," relaxing music from California, is featured, as well as  classical, operettes, rock oldlies, DJ-party music, pop & schlager, German folk music chosen and performed by Heino, jazz, world music, hit-parade and Broadway musicals. There is even a children's channel, Lilipuz.

LTU In-flight Shopping

Tax free shopping is available onboard. Choose from such items as:

• women's and men's perfumes & colognes
• skin care products
• assorted accessories from names such as Swatch, Benetton, Etienne Aigner and Pierre Cardin
• tobacco products
• spirits
• toys and games for children

For Special Guests

LTU welcomes passengers with special requirements. Prospective passengers who feel that they are in need of special care or facilities should contact the LTU office at their departure airport in good time. This ensures that we will be able to meet any special requirements. All LTU aircraft are now equipped with special wheelchairs to allow passengers requiring them the mobility usually denied in the air.

Electronic Devices

The use of the following electronical devices are not permitted during flight: cellular/mobile phones (aka Handys), CD players, laptop computers with attachments (printer, scanner, CD-ROM, etc.), satellite receivers of anykind, wireless microphones, portable TV-sets, etc. For more information, see your onboard purser.

Meal Service - Economy class

LTU offers superb meal service. On transatlantic flights, two meals are served: one hot meal and one cold meal. In some cases two hot meals may be served, depending on the length of the flight and time of departure. For example, on a typical flight from Florida to Germany with an afternoon departure, a hot dinner is served about 90 minutes into the flight and a cold breakfast two hours prior to arrival.

LTU offers a choice of two entrees on flights of more than 3 1/2 hours, and comlipentary wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages is offered with lunch or dinner. Non-alcoholic beverages are available throughout the entire flight free of charge. Cocktails and liquor are available onboard for a charge.

Special meals for those on restricted diets are also available if ordered at least 72 hours in advance: kosher, diabetic, vegan, ovo-lacto vegetarian, muslim, gluten-free and lactose-free.
