CHECK IN
Passengers are required to check-in at least 90 minutes prior to departure.

FREE BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE (the 2-piece concept for flights between Germany and North America (incl. USA, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Costa Rica)
Each passenger, including children, may check-in 2 bags weighing no more than 70lbs/32kg per piece and dimensions not exceeding 107" (h+l+w; both pieces combined). Infants not entitled to a seat are permitted one checked bag not exceeding 45" in dimensions. Excess baggage charges are as follows (per piece):

All baggage must be labeled with the passenger's name and address. Valuables, medicines, documents and business papers as well as fragile items must be carried as hand baggage. Oversized baggage (with combined height, width and depth being larger than 80"/203cm and/or weighing more than 70lbs/32kg) is charged three times the excess baggage charge. Passengers are advised to purchase additional baggage insurance through their travel agent or other source. Strollers and wheelchairs are transported free of charge.

Sports Equipment up to 66lbs/30kg per person is transported free of charge. The following exceptions apply (rates are roundtrip):

HAND BAGGAGE
Limited to one piece per passenger and not exceeding more than 18lbs/8k in weight and 22 x 16 x 8 inches (55 x 40 x 20 cm) in dimensions.
FIRST COMFORT passengers are permitted two pieces of hand baggage.

LATE-NIGHT CHECK-IN
Available at Berlin, D�sseldorf, Frankfurt, Hanover, Munich and other LTU German airports for your convenience (only for LT-operated flights). Late-night check-in can be done on the night before your departure between the hours of 6pm and 9pm (7pm - 9pm at Berlin-Tegel) for early morning flights. All travel documents (ticket, passport, etc.) are required at check-in and late-night check-in is not possible when departing Frankfurt on the LTU Sky Shuttle.

PROHIBITED ARTICLES
For safety reasons, dangerous items may not be packed in checked or carry-on baggage or taken on board with you. Restricted articles include, but are not limited to: acid, matches, lighter fluid, explosives, flammable solids/liquids, oxidizing materials, corrosive materials, compressed gases, poisons, infectious substances, radioactive materials, irritating or incapacitating sprays, volatile noxious materials, and briefcases and cases with installed alarm devices.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
Passengers are responsible for compliance with regulations and may be denied boarding if documents (valid passport, visa if applicable, etc.) are not in order or available. Please check with the nearest German consulate for more info.

PETS
Pets are welcome on LTU. Passengers are responsible for obtaining health documents for the import of animals to other countries. Contact the nearest consulate or embassy for more information. Kennels are accepted as one piece of baggage under the 2-piece concept. Reservations are required at least 72 hours in advance.

SPECIAL MEALS
The following meals can be ordered for those with special dietary requirements. These meals must be ordered at least 72 hours in advance and are available on all LTU flights, except for German domestic flights and on flights between D�sseldorf and Salzburg.

Vegetarian Meal VLML Vegetarian, may contain egg and dairy products
Vegan Meal VGML Completely vegetarian, made with no animal proteins or fats, mostly fresh products

CHILDREN / INFANTS / YOUTHS / SENIORS
Infants under 2 years of age can generally travel at a 90% discount or free of charge depending on the applicable fare, provided he/she is accompanied by an adult and does not occupy a seat. Children between the ages of 2-11 years, youths up to 24 years, students up to 26 years and senior citizens age 60 and over can generally travel at a discount depending on the applicable fare (from the U.S. to Germany).

UNACCOMPANIED MINORS
Must be a minimum 5 years of age for travel on LTU and there is a US$25/CA$36/DM50 fee (each way). The applicable child's fare may apply to unaccompanied minors.

NON-SMOKING POLICY
LTU has established a system-wide non-smoking policy.
